With the traditional memorial gathering in “Demir Baba Teke” near Isperih, the Movement for Rights and Freedoms is marking the 37th anniversary of the peaceful protests held here in 1989. The gathering organised to commemorate the anniversary of the “Revival Process” brought together many people, the leadership of the MRF, Members of Parliament of the MRF, as well as regional mayors and municipal representatives, all of whom came here to show their respect to the memory of the victims of the totalitarian regime.
Guests included the Deputy Chairpersons of the MRF, Halil Letifov and Nida Ahmedov, Ayten Sabri, Deputy Chairperson of the Parliamentary Group of the MRF and the National Assembly, Members of Parliament, Leven Apti, Atidzhe Alieva-Veli, Ivo Tsanev, Seifi Mehmedali, Dimitar Avramov, Tanser Beiti, Fatima Yildis, Shendoan Halit, Nedhzet Shaban, members of the Central Operational Bureau, Erten Anisova and Mehmet Ataman, Member of the European Parliament Taner Kabilov, guests from Turkey, Tolga Orkun, General Consul of the Republic of Turkey in Burgas, Vedat Ahmed, Chairperson of the Supreme Muslim Council, and regional Mufti for Razgrad, Mehmed Alya.
