An exceptionally productive and amicable meeting in the spirit of unanimity with Texan Republican Congressman was held with Pat Fallon - member of the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence of the House of Representatives in the United States Congress.
The USA and Bulgaria are continuing to build upon their achievements in recent years in the area of energy, defence and foreign policy - which is a clear and consistent policy of the MRF.
I thanked the administration of US President Donald Trump for inviting Bulgaria to become a member of the Board of Peace, as an important step on the way to consolidating the regional security of Bulgaria. I also reiterated the clear position of the MRF for the rapid ratification of the agreement in the National Assembly.
We agreed with Congressman Fallon that now more than ever it is vital that the networks of George and Alex Soros, both here in Bulgaria and internationally, be brought to light and removed, in order to allow freedom and democracy to be the guiding principles of transatlantic cooperation between the USA and the Republic of Bulgaria.
