Turkish president Erdogan congratulates the MRF, lauds the Movement’s contribution to defending Bulgaria’s democracy and Euro-Atlantic course
We are ready for early elections. Bulgaria needs a Euro-Atlantic government! Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) leader Mustafa Karadayi made these statements while addressing the crowd in the town of Dzhebel. Karadayi and the rest of the Movement’s leadership honored the celebration of the town's holiday on May 19. The event was also attended by numerous guests from Turkey. And on May 19, Bulgaria’s southeastern neighboring country has a public holiday too, as it marks the Kemal Remembrance Day (remembering its great leader Mustafa Kemal Ataturk) and celebrates its youth and sports.
At this difficult time, with the post-Covid crisis and the war in Ukraine, Bulgaria needs a worthy and reliable authority. Karadayi expressed confidence that Bulgaria should be ruled by a Euro-Atlantic government.
Bulgaria’s citizens need a clear-cut political direction. Businesses of Bulgaria require their government to behave with strive and lend them proper support. Citizens need the assistance of the government too. Today however, Bulgaria does not have such a government, the MRF leader said. "We are ready for early parliamentary elections that will give us a worthy Euro-Atlantic rule in Bulgaria. We want stability for Bulgaria. We want it to be able to overcome crises. Bulgarian businesses and citizens must have the relief they need,” he pointed out.
Bulgarian president Rumen Radev congratulated Dzhebel on the town’s holiday by sending a written address. May the future be blessed, mutually beneficial and fairer to all of us who love our Motherland, the president’s message read.
Meanwhile, a congratulatory address by the president of the Republic of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan was received by the MRF. The letter was presented by Efkan Alya, deputy chairman of the Justice and Development Party of Turkiye.
"The struggle of Bulgarian Turks for democracy, identity and freedom was one of the biggest blows they dealt to the communist regime. Their contribution to the democracy in the country, to Bulgaria's Euro-Atlantic orientation and to seeking peace and stability in the Balkans is crucial, and I believe it will persist for the future", the address by Erdogan said.
