Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) became the second political force in Blagoevgrad, with the leader on the Movement's candidate-MP list Delyan Peevski ahead of the coalition "We continue the change" - "Democratic Bulgaria" and its incumbent MP in the region Andrey Gyurov. This is shown in the final data of the Central Electoral Commission with 100% processed protocols from the vote on April 2.
23 338 people or 19.88% voted for the MRF list, led by Delyan Peevski, with almost 3000 votes more than the WCC-DB result.
This significant success will enable the MRF to have at least three members of parliament sent to the 49th National Assembly from the region.
