For the past 16 years, Bulgaria has consistently pursued a policy of joining the Eurozone and adopting the Euro as its currency.
The MRF unequivocally supports this position and denounces any attempts by anti-European and pro-Russian parties to exploit the topic of a "referendum on the Eurozone" for their own political gain.
As a responsible member of the European Union, we committed to introducing the single European currency upon signing the EU accession treaty. Consequently, a referendum on the Eurozone would effectively become a referendum on our membership in the EU. MRF will not allow this.
MRF has been the foundation of this policy for many years, and it will continue to be until our goal is achieved.
We have consistently explained the advantages of adopting the euro for both individuals and businesses. Additionally, since our country has been in a currency board since 1997, the transition will be smooth and problem-free.
Therefore, the introduction of the single European currency will only bring benefits to businesses and individuals.
