Delyan Peevski, leader of the MRF and the Parliamentary Group of the MRF-NEW BEGINNING: “I urge Rosen Zhelyazkov to come out and tell the people honestly what is happening in Europe and how he will guarantee peace for our country.”

A video clip containing instructions on crisis and disaster response urging Europeans to stockpile emergency supplies for a period of 72 hours, published by EU Commissioner Haxha Labib, has created a wave of alarm and concern across Europe. At the same time, the EC and state leaders are involved in intensive diplomatic shuttles and various continuing formats of talks. However, Bulgaria has not received sufficient or reliable information about the future.

It is unacceptable for a EU commissioner to make a video address which is paramount to parody. At the same time it is terribly serious, but abandons people to their fears and concerns. What security is the European Commission talking about, when it is guaranteed solely with a pocket knife and a packet of rusks? If the European Commission is not speaking, then who is?

Bulgarian Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov owes all these answers to the Bulgarian people. It is he who, according to our information, participated in some way in these meetings in Paris, Brussels and other places.

We all saw how "travelling Niki" led to a failed government. The time has now come for a new beginning in the government's relations with the people, backed up by full and honest information about what is happening and what is to come.

For the sake of all our voters who have inundated our phone lines with their concerns about what they are reading and seeing mostly on social media, for the sake of all the people in Bulgaria, we need to know the truth about the state of the EU, about the place of Bulgaria, and, above all, about what is coming, what depends on us, and how peace will be sought and guaranteed. So that Bulgaria and Europe may continue to exist in the future.
