The early parliamentary elections clearly showed the will of the Bulgarian citizens. Now is the time to take responsibility to them. There should be a regular government in order to stabilize the state.
The state must be governed by the parties legitimately elected by the Bulgarian citizens, and no one has the right to question their legitimacy, which is obtained from the Bulgarian citizens.
We must guarantee the security and the peace of all Bulgarian citizens, the growth of business and the prosperity of the state - we owe it to the people.
Attempts by analysts, political scientists and sociologists through the media to create conditions for substitution of the electors’ vote, by opening a portal for a new "messiah" in the face of Radev, are a sign of either extreme irresponsibility or heavy dependence on the one who, with his caretaker governments that looted the state, with the "quacks" he brought into power, and then he himself defined them as such, with his treasurers, Koprinkovs and Ushevs, he wants to divert Bulgaria from its Euro-Atlantic path and hand it over to Putin. Radev, who strongly wants to get an one-man government, no matter the cost for the people and for the state.
The suggestions that the political model is depleted and that a new project, a new Savior is needed, are nothing but a complicity in the attempt for the biggest substitution since 1990 - the substitution of democracy and its principles. Democracy has no alternative. Bulgaria's path as an established Euro-Atlantic country has no alternative. The security and the peace of the Bulgarian citizens have no alternative.
And we, as the most stable Euro-Atlantic party, will not allow this to happen.
The vote of the Bulgarian citizens obliges us to defend the Euro-Atlantic values and principles, and we will not deviate from this obligation.
Once I already prevented an attempt by Radev to install himself on the backs of the people as a political ruler with the "Third of March" project. And now we will not allow this to happen, and I guarantee it as the leader of MRF.
Political power is determined by voters with their vote.
Now the politicians are on the move. They must fulfill the will of the voters.
I call on all responsible political leaders to immediately start consultations to find a formula to form a stable government.
I call on the leader of the largest political force Mr. Boyko Borissov and GERB-UDF to start this process, as it comes natural for them as the first political force in the 50th National Assembly.
For MRF, power has never been an end in itself, and this has always been confirmed by our actions.
But I am categorical - we will be the foundation and guarantee that Bulgaria will not deviate from its Euro-Atlantic path.
I appeal to the leaders of all Euro-Atlantic parliamentary parties - be responsible leaders and do not allow personal or party emotions and interests to be placed above the interests of the state. Fears and evading responsibility are not a solution.
Mr. Borissov, I expect an invitation from you and all the Euro-Atlantic leaders to start a conversation about the future of our Homeland.
Once again, I would like to thank our voters and all Bulgarian citizens for the election results, it is a honor for us to fulfill the will of the people.
