“Only my voters can ask for my resignation. And they will only give me even greater trust from here on.”
This is how the leader of the MRF and the Parliamentary Group of MRF–NEW BEGINNING, Delyan Peevski, commented to journalists on the calls from the opposition parties of PP–DB.
“Just as PP–DB have voters, so do we. I advise them not to spread hatred — especially ethnic hatred — hatred against the MRF,” the leader warned.
“From the parliamentary rostrum, hatred was expressed against my Turkish brothers, my Pomak brothers, my Roma brothers, my millet brothers. I will not allow them to do that. If they sow hatred, they will reap hatred,” Peevski stated firmly.
“I will not allow my people to be insulted and slandered. Let them not do that. Let them hold their protests — I respect their voters. Let them respect mine. And: no to hatred,” Peevski urged.
“Power is taken or given through elections — I repeat, through elections,” he said firmly.
